We don’t do what we do for the recognition, but it does reaffirm our commitment to you.
Heffner’s has always been a service first dealership, starting back in 1960 when John Heffner Sr. first opened the doors to his small repair garage on Breithaupt Street in Kitchener. From there, the business grew to the Heffner’s you know and see today. Lots has changed over the years, but the one thing that hasn’t is our dedication to you.
Our guests, are part of the family. You could be buying a new Toyota or Lexus. Maybe a luxury pre-owned or quality used vehicle. If you’re not looking to buy, there’s always a need for service, oil changes and detailing. And if unfortunate happens, you may require a visit to the Collision Centre. Whatever your need or reason, know that Heffner’s is here for you, always ready to help.
We love hearing back from our guests. It’s an excellent way for us to make sure we remain on track and continue to provide the best service first experience we possibly can.
Here’s just a few of our recent Google Reviews from valued guests, covering a variety of our services.
If you’d like to share a recent experience you’ve had with either Heffner Toyota or Heffner Lexus, please do so.

Halloween is usually billed as the “spookiest” time of the year.
All those ghosts and goblins, skeletons and vampires.
But at Heffner’s, it’s just down right fun. Seriously. We love Halloween. We love it so much!
That was easy to see if you happened to stop by on October 31st.
The place looked a little different than normal that day. We had such a great variety of costumes.
However, if you weren’t able to stop by, you more than likely saw some of the costumes on our numerous social channels, like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. We were quite active that day; hard to blame us. Have I mentioned – we love Halloween?
It wasn’t all fun though. There was a little competition as well.
Every year, Heffner’s throws a staff Halloween Costume Contest where we award three winners.
The gist. We dress up. We take pictures. Then throw it out to staff to vote on their favourite. It’s a real complicated procedure 😉
Once all the tallies are collected, the results are revealed and the winner is crowned.
This year, the big grand prize went to “Jedi Knight”.
Second place was a tie between “Birds” & “Chewie”.
Third place was “Billy Gibbons”.
What do you think? Do you agree with our overall consensuses or would you have voted differently?
Annual Heffner Christmas Open Houses
With Halloween officially in the rear view mirror, it’s now time to shift our focus to what’s on the road ahead; Christmas.
The merriment of the holiday season is officially in full swing. Shelves are full of holiday must-haves, Christmas parties are on the horizon, and the Hallmark Channel is hitting overdrive.
This time of year also means the return of our annual Christmas Open Houses at Heffner’s.
A time to get together, and celebrate together. It’s our way of sharing the holidays with you and your family.
Like in past years, we’re throwing two separate distinct parties.
The first will take place on Friday, November 29th from 7-9pm. It’s our elegant evening at Heffner Lexus featuring the Waterloo County Carolers, delicious food and drink, our silent auction in support of Ray of Hope, and as always, good cheer.
Then, it’s all about family the following day at Heffner Toyota. Bring out the kids Saturday, November 30th, noon until 4pm, and enjoy some upbeat Christmas carols performed live by Juneyt. The silent auction in support of Ray of Hope continues. Plus, a balloon twister and face painting for the kiddos. There’s food and drink and no family Christmas event would be complete without a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, photos included.
It’s a blast every year, and we hope you’re able to join us again this year at our annual Heffner Christmas Open Houses.

Our community partners are so important to us. The work they do locally helps make Waterloo Region the place it is; one we’re proud to call home.
Centre in the Sqaure
One of our Community Partners is Centre in the Square, which Heffner’s is proud to be the Season Sponsor of, and has been involved with them, in some fashion or other, for 30 years.
The Centre in the Square is a not-for-profit organization that brings in countless acts to Waterloo Region ranging from the KW Symphony to concerts, plays, musicals and many other performances.
Recently, they invited us in for a behind the scenes look at this absolutely amazing venue. We had the opportunity to go backstage, up to the rafters where the stage lights are housed, behind the spotlights and projectors and so much more.
Take a look for yourself at some of the areas you don’t usually see from the comfort of your seats.
The Christkindl Market is another Community Partner Heffner’s is proud to have and they’re now gearing up for their annual seasonal run.
This year, the award-winning and free festival runs from Thursday, December 5th to Sunday, December 8th, inside and out of Kitchener City Hall.
“Every Christmas, since medieval times, towns and cities across Germany come alive with the sights, sounds and smells of Christmas.”
The Christkindl Market replicates those traditions here in Kitchener with over 100 vendors that range from food to crafts and everything in between.
What you can expect:
- Wooden Huts in the Market’s Village and down along King Street
- Choirs, Bands and Dance Groups
- Horse Drawn Carriage Rides
- Train Room
- Blacksmith Demonstrations
- Christmas Trees for sale
- Live Nativity
- Photos with Folkoric Characters

The Christkindl Market is a wonderful family event that is sure to put you in the Christmas spirit.
This guest described it perfectly, ” Snow falling gently, beautiful German music playing outside, high quality Christmas goods for purchase from friendly vendors, hot-mulled cider, the nativity scene, the skaters – what atmosphere!!! The magic has hooked me ever since. So much different from the mall! Thanks for kindling the Christmas spirit.”
